I have heard about a band, that is so powerful, so wonderful that when it plays its rock shows it blows the minds out of alot of people. This band can and will be the greatest rock band the world has to offer. While many say that Oh-Jay has gone the way of the Dinosaurs (the TGIF sitcom) and Crystal Clear Pepsi, may I remind you all that just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it's not there. The future of Oh-Jay and the Brantis Orangutangs is coming......

The old crappy official site till i make a new one is, click it or OH-JAY! will send monekys to your house to raid your pantry!

_Predictions for the Fall 2003-2004 year_

-Oh-Jay will play multiple shows on the Who Flung Poo (Deau) tour.
- label would totally swallow the band up as the Nice Happy version of Slipknot (minus orange jumpsuits and bad makeup and masks, wait yes on the masks)
- oh jay will totally be knockin' up fans in the back of the vans
- tshirt sales will skyrocket as the teen hearthrob edition shirts are made
- the groups' skill will be tested as they face their arch enemies live............

To be concluded.................

MONKEY THAT TOUR REVEIW BY FISHBOY (UNSPELLCHECKED)

so heres my take on all the shows we've played so far. This is mainly for Ex-Oh-Jay members to here the inside scoop with out me having to email them all. that and for public record.

march 28th Austin "Trash House Show"-very cool. Many business deal folk were able to see Oh-Jay for the first time and we didn't let them down. Too crazy and too long ago for me to remember everything. My brother was more impressed with any show of mine he's ever seen...big house party, we played well, nuff said.

April 5th Hurst "Support the Grapevine Scene Even Though We Are In College Now Ironically Showing That There Isn't A Scene At All Show"- The thing about the beast that is Oh-Jay is that the truely awsome shows are the ones in which we have(borrow) good amps. Not just because we sound much better but because we fall apart if we can't hear the other instruments. Being a suburban DIY show we were out of luck for borrowing anyones nice amp because hey, who wants to lend out a nice piece of equiptment they saved up all summer for? The PA was pretty quiet too...But despite all of this we still rocked every one who seemed unrockable. Plus since it was in the hurst convention center, we played in front of a giant "H" and pointed to it during the H song. This was the first show in which Touche's friends (Touche being our auxillery player dressed in a fencing costume) ran up to him and threw coke cans at his mask.

April 12 2:00pm "Fry Street Unfair"- This was a small sucess. But I will settle for a small sucess over a failure anyday of the week. We played early in a girls back yard at the end of fry street. It wasn't really a house that you could walk by and see there was a band there (since it was at the end) so there were about 20-30 people watching us. But they loved it, A LOT. Some good will come out of this show soon. I can feel it.

April 12 7:00pm "The Closing of Club 412"- We were sort of upset before we came to this show. There was no sign of it being promoted at all and on top of that it was a benifit so people were paying to get in and we didn't even get five bucks for gas. Like I said those were the(my) sentiments BEFORE the show. I of course didn't take into account that there is a loyal group of kids that go to every weekend show there no matter what. Mix in those kids with the ones that came to see us and you have a nice crowd. On top of that it club 412 is moving into a new building and this was the last show, so that brought some people too. The sound was excellent. The crowd response was truely amazing. On the last song half of the crowd was on stage singing PB and J. We got it on minidisc.

April 16 6pm "Show For the Disabled"- Theres this huge set up on the side of Kerr Hall on the UNT campus. We played to all our friends who live in the dorms. Thats about all I can say. The show was poorly organized and a lot of bands dropped out at the last minute so not too many people showed up. It got us into the Bruce Hall Jam though. this reminds me Ironspine, call that guy who wants us to play on campus. do it. now.

April 19th (tonight)- Some how this girl Carolina whoes a friend of a friend ohjay wise, moved into a ledgendary UNT party house on maple. After she set up this show she was looking around for some wood in the garage for the bands to set up on and she found this HUGE stage about 3 or 4 feet off the ground. So it was a really nice set up and I would say close to 100 people were there, but unfortunately too many bands were put on the bill including seth brewtones new band Rondo which steve colca aptly called "So Dark For April the next wave." Them, three other bands and an acoustic act that started it out played before Oh-Jay took the stage. Amazingly enough every one was still around to see us but as luck would have it, the cops shut us down after 4 songs. I drank a can of red bull before we went on and was left with too much energy to burn. And THAT my friends is how I've had the energy to write this entire blog review.

Note to other members: feel free to write your own comments on shows.

Our next show is Saturday the 26th at Living Waters. I beleive all ska bands have been booked for that night. I might be wrong.
happy easter every one,

fishboy
